A proven Design Director with a passion for storytelling that translates into unforgettable designs.
Stephen Collins Knight was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A graduate of Louisiana State University, he holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology as well as a Bachelor of Interior Design from LSU’s CIDA-accredited program. In the spring of 2011, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he developed a broad skill set through his work on a variety of design projects, including retail, healthcare, and hospitality. In 2013 he joined Bishop Pass, a boutique studio specializing in hospitality and restaurant design. As his work with Bishop Pass flourished, his professional role did as well, first promoted to Associate Director of Design before accepting the position of Design Director in the summer of 2017.
Stephen stands by the mantra that every great design begins with a story: a narrative that carries through the project from concept development to installation. It can be as simple as a film or as elaborate as a fictional character with a tantalizing backstory. This narrative not only provides a tangible touch point for clients to relate to the design process, but also functions as a barometer for evaluating design decisions through every phase of development.
